From Nigeria to London to right here in Glasgow, Et has spent the past 4 years working as Sous Chef at The Ivy and then as Head Chef at Glasgow's Gaucho and Radisson Blu. However London is where our well versed Chef embarked on his culinary career; 15 years of Et's life saw him working in numerous senior chef positions at The Ivy Marylebone, The Ivy Tunbridge Wells, Doyle Collection's Marylebone Hotel, Richard Branson’s Kensington Roof Garden, Marriot's W Hotel Leicester Square, Soho House's White City House, Mark Hix’s Tramshed and 63rd+1st Cobham. Bringing his passion for cuisine, instilled by his mother's native cooking, our Head Chef is ready to welcome you into the Waterfront Restaurant 7 days a week.

Beef stew accompanied with jollof rice.
Most over-rated food trend?
I will say Avocado is the most over-rated food but Keto foods are not far away either. It's really bamboozling as to how many keto diets are there.
Which country has the best food?
France with the most Michelin stars will win this prize every year for sure.
Advice to a young chef?
Never stop learning. Be driven but be patient.
What are you most looking forward to about working at Alea?
I’m excited about the new menu launches and the exciting events and programs coming up for this year. We want Alea to have the best Sunday roast in Glasgow and that goal can definitely be achievable with the great Location, menu and team we have at Alea.
